FW-190

My initial intention was to model only the airplane landing on a field, but then I decided to make a static image, with the airplane on the ground and his pilot nearby.

I should also modify the original image (the one with the landing plane), because the trees are perhaps lacking something…but overall I’m pretty satisfied (ok, I’m never really satisfied) with the result: I just wanted a look somewhere between the cartoon and the real, a difficult balance to obtain. There are also some tests that I made to see if the model and the texturing of the airplane were ok. Indeed I had to modify some of the stretches made by the turbosmooth modifier. The model is not heavily detailed, so I added the Displacement and the textures made in Zbrush. I also put some test images on the pilot, which was still a WIP: basic meshes in Max, then Zbrush for the overall sculpture. I retopologyzed only the jacket, the hands and the boots, for the other parts I re-imported the low meshes from zbrush. Then again displacement map and normal map. For the jacket I simply added a bump map. To pose it I did a new simplified mesh for the head and another for the whole body, then I skinned the new simple one and used it as base for a skinwrap for the large detailed model.
